During the teaching, the participants will receive the explanation of the sadhanas (spiritual practices) and mantras of Green Tara and Avalokitesvara (Chenresig) as well as the rlung, which is the teacher’s blessing to perform these practices and recite the sacred Buddhist mantras.

Venerable Jhado Tulku Rinpoche was born in 1954. At the age of three, he was recognized and enthroned as the sixth incarnation of the abbot of Jhado Monastery. After leaving Tibet in 1959, Rinpoche stayed briefly in Nepal, then spent several years in Dharamshala in northern India, where he completed basic training in reading, writing in Tibetan and reciting Buddhist texts. Rinpoche took his initial monastic vows from His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1964 and full ordination from the previous incarnation of Ling Rinpoche in 1973.

In 1991, Jhado Tulku Rinpoche obtained his Geshe Lharamba degree, the highest level of education in the Gelug tradition. He continued his studies at the Gyuto Tantric College in Dharamshala.

1992 to 1996 Rinpoche served as a teacher at Namgyal Monastery in Dharamshala. In 1997, Jhado Rinpoche received many teachings, empowerments and commentaries from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness’s mentors, and also from masters of other Buddhist traditions. In 2012, Rinpoche was appointed Abbot of Gyuto Tantric College by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, holding this position until 2017.

Jhado Tulku Rinpoche is a holder of precious teachings on Sutra and Tantra, he has great experience and skill in giving teachings to followers of Buddhism.

The lectures in Tibetan (in the ZOOM app) will be broadcast with Russian, English and Mongolian translation.
